Overview
Note: The iPhone 8 supports a maximum of iOS 16. Apple no longer releases major updates for iOS 16. The glass back enables Qi wireless charging.
The iPhone 8 brought significant upgrades over its predecessor: Apple's A11 Bionic chip (the first iPhone chip with a dedicated Neural Engine), a glass back enabling Qi wireless charging, True Tone display, and a substantially improved camera. Running iOS 16 at maximum, it remains capable for everyday smartphone tasks.
