We have been informed that Boom Mobile is filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and we need to port all Boom numbers out ASAP. This has caused a tremendous surge in our call and email volumes, and we apologize for the long wait times.
If you have a phone number with Boom Red, we can reuse your SIM and port you to Selectel Wireless, also operating on Verizon towers. Just let us know you want to port, and we will get you ported to a Selectel plan most similar to your current one.
If you have a data-only service with Boom Red, we can activate a Selectel plan on your same SIM. The Selectel data plans will be a bit more expensive, so if there is time to send you a new SIM, and you have AT&T or T-Mobile service, we probably have more competitive options in a Yoder Wireless plan.
If you have a Boom Purple plan, you should be getting a new Yoder Purple SIM in the mail within several days. Contact us when you get it (or contact us to confirm it was sent) and we'll get your port started.
